Kate Reynolds

Following a number of years as a lecturer in higher and further education, Kate entered the world of local government. Starting in Southwark, Kate worked on the introduction of local management of schools which formed the basis of her PhD with the Open University. Then moving onto a range of Councils working in the area of the development and implementation of policy. Following a successful period with Luton Council, Kate was appointed as Assistant Director of Education with Swindon Borough Council as part of the new management team tasked with significantly improving the performance of the department. |

Her current post has particular responsibility for strategic support services and involves a staff of over 80 and a budget of over £100m. In particular these include finance, human resources, buildings, ICT, policy and strategic planning. Kate is a graduate of the Improvement and Development Agency’s Advanced Leadership Programme and has a continuing interest and commitment to change management through high quality leadership. Kate has also been involved as a governor at a variety of schools, most recently as chair of governors of an inner London primary school. |
